I noticed that the back end of the keys had two layers of back end felt. The dampers were lifted off the strings with the keys in rest position. I removed the action, and found that the wippen rail was located all the way to the back, which caused the hammer tails to be hooked behind the end of the repetition lever, the key dip was anywhere from 9/32" to 5/32". The piano had not been moved in 20 years, only tuned once (approximately 15 to 20 years ago). On arrival, I noticed that most keys were not playing at all (could not be depressed). Today I serviced a Wurlitzer grand piano, model G-457 and when making the appointment, I was told that some keys were not playing.
